RF Micro Devices, Hiawatha
RF Micro Devices is a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance semiconductor components. Their new facility in Hiawatha was constructed of structural steel, structural metal studs and brick veneer. The building has enclosed office space, as well as open office areas and a laboratory. The laboratory is nearly 2/3 the size of the building. That portion of the building is humidity-controlled year round and has an anti-static floor. Another unique feature of the building is the 60-foot-long clerestory. This allows natural light to illuminate the laboratory.
