Sonic, Cedar Rapids
Rinderknecht Associates built the first Sonic in Eastern Iowa. The carhop concept is back, rollerskating servers and all! The structure is a wood frame with E.I.F.S. finish and brick veneer on the exterior. And, in true Sonic style, the restaurant catches your eye with its prominent use of neon signs.
